Position: Blog Editor/Writer
Work Location Petaling Jaya

Responsibilities
* Creating and refining blog content and text
* Conduct interview and draft posts for approval and refinement
* Editing and moderating articles for the blog before it gets published
* Developing scripts for web-series segments
* Post a minimum of 2-3 posts per week
* Researching airline or travel stories, reports, other breaking news and keeping track of what other blogs are saying.
* Working with staff across the organisation to develop regular features
* Monitoring, and participating in dialogue with readers via comments
* Learning the technical aspects of AirAsia, our blogging software, and making improvements where necessary
* Building relationships with readers, other bloggers, and travel journalists or other media
* Bringing awareness to the blog, creating traffic and maintaining number of returning blog readers
Requirements
* Candidate must possess at least a STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U in any field.
* Proficient in the English Language
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya.
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
* Preferably Junior Executives specializing in or equivalent.
* Experience as a proof-reader and/or copy editor for a newspaper, magazine, journal, newsletter, or other publication a plus.
* Strong written/blogging skills
* Proficient in computer skills and development of internet and web community
* Mature, professional, with excellent communication skills.
* Include at least 3 writing samples and/or links to your work if available (blog posts, articles, press releases, site copy, etc) along with a list of five post topics that you would propose for the blog.
* Required language(s): English.
* Preferred language(s): Bahasa Malaysia.
